Welcome to LUMINA (“LUMINA”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website luminajo.com and any services, consultations, workshops, or resources we provide (collectively, the “Services”). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms.

You may use the Services if you are (a) at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction or (b) using the Services under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

LUMINA provides academic awareness, personalized consultation, guidance on admissions and equivalency, information about international curricula (e.g., IB, A-Level, AP, American, Tawjihi), workshops for students and parents, and downloadable educational resources.

We do not guarantee admissions outcomes or specific grades. Our role is informational and advisory; decisions by schools, universities, scholarship providers, or authorities are outside our control.

Some features may require creating an account or booking a session. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current information,
  • Keep your login secure,
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account.

We may refuse, cancel, or reschedule bookings for lawful reasons, including misuse or availability constraints.

5. Pricing, payments & refunds

If any fees apply (e.g., consultations, events), prices are shown at the time of booking or checkout and are subject to change until purchase is complete.

Cancellations/Rescheduling:

  • Client cancellations made [e.g., 24–48 hours] before the session may be rescheduled once without a fee.
  • Late cancellations/no-shows may be charged in full.

Refunds:

  • Refunds (if applicable) are processed to the original payment method within [e.g., 7–14] business days, subject to payment provider timelines.

By registering, you agree to abide by event guidelines. We may change the date, time, or format (e.g., move to online) for reasons including venue availability, safety, or force majeure. If we cancel an event, registered participants will be offered a reschedule or refund where applicable.

Resources (checklists, templates, planners) are provided for personal, non-commercial use unless explicitly stated otherwise. You may not resell, redistribute, or publish our materials without written permission.

You agree not to:

  • Violate any laws or infringe third-party rights,

  • Misuse contact forms or communications (spam, harassment),
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation,

We often support students and families. Where minors are involved, a parent/guardian should participate in bookings and decisions. Parents/guardians remain responsible for the minor’s use of the Services.

All content on the website—text, graphics, logos, icons, images, videos, software, and resources—is owned by LUMINA or licensed to us and protected by applicable laws.
You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access the website and use resources for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other use requires our prior written consent.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LUMINA and its directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the Services.
Our total liability for any claims relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the relevant service in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold LUMINA harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these Terms or applicable laws.

We may modify or discontinue parts of the website or Services at any time, with or without notice, provided such changes are lawful.

We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or applicable laws, or to protect the integrity and security of the Services.

19. Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, strikes, labor disputes, war, terrorism, civil disturbances, natural disasters, power or internet failures, or government actions.

20. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Jordan shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless applicable law provides otherwise.

21. Dispute resolution (optional mediation)

Before filing suit, the parties agree to make good-faith efforts to resolve disputes through informal negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, either party may propose mediation in Jordan; costs are typically shared unless agreed otherwise.

22. Severability & entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and LUMINA regarding the Services and supersede prior or contemporaneous communications.
